I'm looking for a wheel to fishing spot to head out to on friday. I know guys are not too happy to give up those great spots but I'll keep it to myself. I was looking at the Stave river on the north end of Stave Lake but there doesn't appear to be a road from Kenyon lake to the FSR that follows the river. There must have been a barge when they were using it? I am going to throw the canoe on the 70 and head out before first light Friday morning. Was out at Vedder Canal this morning at first light. The pinks and coho are thick! I appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks, Dave

Im not a fishing guy but i do know that Sunrise lake is always a good wheel and then fish. Look out lake too.

Where you at Bear Creek yesterday (Saturday)? Saw a nice back BJ70 parked on the East Harrison FSR around 17:00 or so.

Yup, That was me. I was trying my luck where bear creek spilled out into Harrison Lake. Caught three rainbow but nothing at that spot there. I was just hiking out and saw you two driving away.

Hmmmm, Been to Sunrise but never fished there before. My 70 has open diff's and I haven't done the V rock in this truck yet. It was tough in my 110 Defender with open diff's and no problem for my 80 with lockers. I've never been to look out, what's the trail like? Both good suggestions.

Both my 40 and 45 have been up the V rock numerous times, and they both have open diffs. It's one of those 'easier than it looks' kinda things really. Any rain of course makes things trickier.
The only problem I've had there was past the V right up at the lake. There is this fin rock that cuts diagonally across the road, and I hung my 45 up on it. It was easily unstuck with the hi-lift.

The trail to Look Out is 2wd from what I remember, just heavily grown in. It's been several years since I've been up there though.

Thanks Jeff,

I'll likely give Sunrise a go first and maybe look at lookout and slatu. I like rivers better but we'll see what comes up.

Haha, Mine are swiss cheese and getting cut out and replaced this winter and way. Tearing one off will save me some work.

Thats encouraging.

There is a easy way in and a hard way in to look out lake. The fun way is to turn left by the hail creek sighn and head up the raod, and head right at the y in the raod. Ya just watch your rockers when your going up the v rock. Its allways good times up there.

Cool I'm heading out fishing Friday to Sunrise lake.

Thanks all
