Hi people,
Iv been a owner of a 2002 turbo diesel landcruiser ute now for 6 years and have never had any dramas what so ever with this ute, it's a workhorse an has never let me down, it's now got 202000 on the clock, I have just purchased a off road camper and am wanting some advise on what I could do to make it Easyer for my ute towing through 4x4 tracks ect. And also some advise on what upgrades/mods I could do to make it any better (if possible) in 4wd, keeping in mind I will be taking on the tellie track mid next year towing the camper.
Some mods/upgrades I hve already done are, steinbauer chip, 3" exhaust, new injectors, new radiator, new water pump, new tyers, K&N high flow air filter, forced air induction. Some changes I have done to rely on it a bit more off Rd are, new tuff clutch, 9000lb warn winch, I'm not a big fan of lockers but am tossing up weather it's worth covering all bases and fitting one to the rear, also am tossing up weather to fit a front mount Intercooler or not? Iv always had old man emu suspension and it has got a ARB bullbar with custom side steps. I'm not into winding up boost as its getting up there is k's and don't want to risk it. Also can someone tell me the ideal EGT for my ute post turbo.
Any help would be grate thanx
Cheers!

Whats makes you think the K&N filter is an upgrade? The factory paper filter is hard to beat for performance and doing its main job, keeping dirt out of the engine.

As to the lockers,do you know where you are going? If you will be lifting wheels off the ground ,they might be a wise investment

I would buy a top quality compressor and air down the tyres when towing offroad

I realize paper filters are hard to beat preformance wize however I am traveling 80% dirt roads and the K&N filters are washable so instead of carrying around more papper filters I only have to carry a cleaning kit. And I kno you are able to blow the paper filter I would Ratha give it a good wash.

Honestly if you want to make your ute extremely capable offroad don't mess around , fit front and rear ARB air lockers ! Yes they will cost you a few dollars but offroad , they beat any modification you can do to increase your offroad ability hands down !

If you don't go crazy on the right foot climbing rock faces you won't go braking axles, cvs etc!

Winch is good but with lockers you won't be using it much !
