So at least once a year I mess around on the roads in mountains above where I grew up. I had plans to do it this past weekend. As the week went on the weather turned cold and wet. I was up for some mud and rain. The rumors of snow were exciting but I wasn't too sure they were right. Well saturday came and the snow did as well. After climbing to near 9000 feet I found myself in 10in of the white stuff. I didn't quite make it as far as I intended because the sheet of ice under the snow made for slick driving. I ended up getting turned back. oh and had to use the winch to keep my truck from going over the edge. yeah it was a good day.

attaching a few pics. one of the only rock on the trail. you 80 guys might recognize my Wildyoats bumper. I think I was the first guy to build one from a kit. a poser shot. :flipoff2: almost didn't' get going after pulling over to take the primadonna pics. the aftermath of the winch session and me headed back down the hill. about a mile and 500 feet of elevation up from the poser pic.
