Here's how I plan to drive this:
1. Daily driver, but I don't drive as much as a normal person.(no daily commute)
2. I live in Florida, so no ice, or snow.
3. There's lots of mud here, not that I plan on being buried in it, but it's probably one of the main obstacles I'll see.
4. There's sand here as well.

Primarily looking at the:
285/75R16 Goodyear MT/R w/Kevlar

I'm thinking this tire will:
1. Be well mannered on the road.
2. Do well in the mud, but not as well as a obnoxiously loud tire on the road.
3. Do fine in the sand.
4. Do ok in the rain.

I'll be installing this tire without a lift, and then lifting the vehicle with a 2.5" OME lift and installing bumpers within the next month or so. From what I've read, these should be fine unless I'm doing pretty extreme things even without the lift?

If anyone had suggestions on other tires to look at, I'd love to hear them :) While I'm ironing out the details of the other modifications it would be nice to have some tires under this thing. :)

Any advice welcome :)

Well since no one objected, I figured nothing would explode so
I ordered the tires and had them installed.

Haven't had the chance to take them off road yet, but on road the ride is super quiet. If I turn the stereo off and listen I can hear a little 'whoom whoom' of the tires, but I really have to look for it. No disruption to a phone conversation, and especially not a in person conversation in the vehicle.

Also--They look awesome! :)

Looks good - if you don't mind me asking what did you pay for them?

Holy moly, those are mud tires. I owned one set and had bad luck with chopping/cupping so they became very noisy after time. If you can keep them quiet, looks like a great fit. I stick with AT tires now. What year is your LX, it looks super clean.

$250 EA. x5

They are still quiet. :) The LX470 is a really quiet vehicle so I'm not really surprised. Phone conversation in the vehicle? Easy. People don't even realize I'm driving..And in some cases are surprised by the fact. The guy at the tire install shop tried to sell me some AT's all i was thinking is "Dude, I have $1200 of tires sitting behind you, and you think I'm going to buy some random tires on your showroom floor?" lol.
