WOW!
I was hoping to go on a long run near Denver but couldnt finish a few things off in time. This morning I checked all the fluids and headed about 10 to a trail I drive a few times of the year because it takes me to some of my fav hunting areas.
The 50 mile run up the highway was slow, and it seemed to suck gas down with the new gears. I am sure stepping up to 35s would help with that. I had no clunks or vibrations so everything seems fine.
The trail is a constant uphill run, with loose shale like rock with a few good size rocks thrown in. Nothing techincally difficult but it seems to shake the crap out of trucks and sidewalls.
When thrown into 4Low I could REALLY feel the difference from the 3.70s, WOW! And the locker really helps on those loose sections. There are a couple of spots that always caused me some bouncing and tire spin, not this time
The way down was great, I used to ride my brakes down most of this trail, but with the mods I could just let it idle down and only have to brake on the super rocky stuff or before drop offs.
Overall I am really happy. The Lockright is WAY more quiet then what people make you think it is. I only hear it when in parking lots or I screw up and hit the gas while turning a corner. I do get a little bit of understear when powering through curves/turns. But the performanc on todays trail makes all of that worth it!
So now on to the brakes, that was the main thing that held me back from a long trip, they need some adjustment as they are still spongy. And I have the York to try and figure out soon too
