300 miles each way... Just about could make it on ONE FULL Tank... MAYBE? @ 260miles I was down to 1/4 tank... so I assume I do Have a range of close to 300 miles... ran 75-80 mph (going by the dash) but I have 18" wheels and I think 235/70 tires...? so I don't know how accurate my speedo is...
I tried premium gas for the first time since it was only 2.19 vs 1.88 for regular... the best MPG I got was 14.7mpg running 80mph and into a head wind... It felt good @ 80 but don't know I'd want to go 90mph... I ran from Memphis up to North West Arkansas so I had a few long grades but nothing big... just wasn't all flat ground... The engine I installed had 138k on it... so this took the engine to about 141k and the truck to 308k.. has not used a drop of oil since it's install (3k+) and the oil still looks as clean as the day i put it in... I'll let it go to 5k... was kinda overkill to take this for just me & my 12yo to one of his meets... (with the weather I would have taken the bike but he likes to sleep)
All & All it was a good trip... you never regret the one on one time you spend with your kid
