Just picked up the 80 yesterday from the body shop where it has been getting a fresh paint job. We took a new direction with this and had it sprayed with a Lexus color, Golden Almond Metallic (4T1). Bumpers and flares were shot with the stock charcoal color but with a bit of brown mixed in. One photo was taken with the Cruiser in light shade which does not bring out the color. Other photo was taken in late afternoon sun and is brighter. Camera battery died on me at the time or I would have included a few more shots. The roof and rear lift gate are now smooth. I yanked the stupid stock rack prior to taking the Cruiser in and they finished up the job by sealing the holes and peeling off the guides for the laterally-oriented slats.

Hornsby and Son Body Shop in Tallassee did the work. Good people to work with.

She's a beaut! Nice color combo Jim.

Keep the photos coming of your catches...

I would be cool to start a thread here to post up your work...I want to live vicariously through you.

I second that

I'll try but it gets hectic at times. This week, with 4 other biologists, we floated ca. 50 miles of the Pea and Choctawhatchee rivers collecting turtles. Days were long because once off the river we had to collect data from our catch.

I'll post more photos of the Cruiser later; camera battery died yesterday.

Wow showroom floor!

Nice choice of colors.

I have no eye for color, if I had made the choice it would have been some type of tan or green. My wife selected the color and the guys at the body shop decided to tweak color for the bumpers and paint the flares to contrast with the body. I like the way the flares connect the bumpers with the running boards. More photos to follow.

very nice!

Any chance that one will be pulling a canoe down Harts Bridge Road?

Looks like you found a good PnB shop to work with.

VERY NICE

No time soon with hauling canoes but, to me, the Land Cruiser serves a utility purpose and sooner or later this one will be used. Gotta just give time for the newness to wear off a bit.

I've seen how your stuff turns out, you're prohibited from getting within 100m of it just in case something might rub off.:D

not even a little nip tuck?

gimme a holler if you ever drive it to work!

Looks NICE!!!

Great color choice!
