With so many people evacuated and the fire s still threatening homes through out California Please check in and let us know how you are and if you need any assistance.

Walnut Creek is fine just really smokey. Fire is on back side(east) of Mt Diablo and South to livermore/tracy.

We are smokey but all good, Ross posted that the fires have moved on & they are safe. Have not heard from James since Tues, they were out & safe but I fear the worst for their place.

Spoke with James yesterday afternoon, fire was on the property he said at the top of the hill behind house and at the road across the street from what I could gather, touch and go, prayers for them , he had said the crews were using his place to stage so maybe they have a good chance of saving stuff

my wheeling buddy Dave had a miracle happen down in Sunol; CalFire and local Water Department managed to save the 70 y/o family hunting cabins and historical markers on the ranch. All with hand lines. The fire Destroyed their springhouse among other things but the Camp is intact. I’m anxiously waiting to hear the stories that will surely come out. Take care.

My best to all of you out there. Be safe and be well.

Hello PMC'ers -
I'm posting a message Now that the Walbridge fire has settled down to let everybody know that we were able to save our place on Sweetwater Springs Rd with lots of help from the fire fighters, strike teams, ground crews, con crews, Dozer crews, local private Dozer volunteers, friends and neighbors who stuck it out.

It was one of the most sketchy and stressful times I can remember.
Between watching all the hills around us on fire and watching it creep closer and closer for weeks, wondering if it was all going to be gone or if it could be saved. What to pack, what to save, what to take, what to leave. In that sense we we fortune to have time to pack and pick and choose.
Trying to cat nap for an hour here and there for almost 2 weeks, racing around the fire roads and neighbors fire roads even the main roads putting out spot fires, trying to find roll-outs, falling trees on fire and trying to keep it from jumping the fire breaks and fire roads. I can't stress how important us having established and clear fire roads to the remote areas and having those roads create barriers that the fire stopped at was paramount. DO this if you have land!

We are in a much better position now but It will be until heavy rains likely mid November? that the still burning stumps and smoldering spots within the burn areas will be out. Lets pray for a break with crazy fire storm business that has been happening for way too many of us.

We are now busy with assisting the utility companies using our usable flat areas on the property as a base camp in the replacement of burned distribution lines out into the hills, via helicopters and some brutal ground workers having to traverse ROUGH land in the upper hills and canyons beyond.

Amy and I both appreciate the messages form you all and apologize for just now getting back to you all.
Thanks and we will see you sooner or later - hopefully sooner.

Lost 3 properties on St. Helena Rd today, terrible, not our main home but still the s***s. Not good, I believe this may be the last draw, I feel a move comin on.
Fire has pushed up too Petrified Forest & the corner of Calistoga Rd and Mark West Rd, it burned north across St Helena Rd this morning and is still moving, wind has been dead but is picking up now, ash has covered everything once again, breathin this s*** for another week, thats like 3 weeks on 2 weeks off for smoke so thick it makes you sick, I wanna buy an old Costco or Walmart building, put my house, barn, pool, shop. garden, and yard in there so I can shut the door on the whole dam thing...;.......... 2 guys came over to cheer me up, Tito & Captain Morgan.
