Fire at Uwharrie

In the paper and on the news this morning, didn't say anything about being around the ohv trails, but said around 50 acres of the berkhead wilderness area had already burned, I'm not exactly sure where that is located. News said they should have it contained by today.

I saw it was NW of most of the developed areas of the park. It was interesting to see them still honoring the Wilderness System rules of no machines/vehicles (at least on the ground) even while fighting an out of control burn.

Fire this time of year? Damn, that's not good. I thought we got a good amount of rain last month too.
