finger vs diaphram style flywheels again (sorry)

Ya know, today I got ta wondern (and yes there's a reason for this question) if a diaphram style flywheel is really the same thing as a finger style flywheel with it's raised portion cut off (except for the step)? Are the pp mounting holes the same?

Maybe someone could tell me at least what the differences are between a finger style clutch disk and a diaphram style? Do they measure the same?

the 3 finger pp mounts different than the diaphram style,you have to use the fly wheel that corresponds, as for the actual clutch disc, specter uses the same part number for all years,three and four speed
