I need to rebuild a 1F carb but can't find the numbers on the body. They're supposed to start with 211... but I can't see anything but the date stamp. Anyone know where these numbers are stamped on Aisin carbs? It's a two barrel supposedly from an early 70's 1F.

I searched mud but haven't found anything yet.

only numbers I recall on mine were on the tag. #60203 however.
I was assuming this was the original carb off the 72 1F
also I got my kit at pepboys or the like and just told them year and model
carb tag.webp

Thanks Jason - I'll try PepBoys and see what they have.

Word of advice if rebuilding - don't try to remove the brass screws that hold on the butterfly valves. Mine broke off and they are tiny. It eventually led me to abandon the rebuild and go to LPG, so no biggie, but it can really over complicate the job!

Thanks Ramon - I've learned that the hard way also - use to rebuild holleys, carters, and q-jets in the 80's and would file those screws (thread end, not the head) down flush with the throttle shaft, then they'd come out like butter. But good advice nonetheless. I'm thinking I might have to bush the shafts on this carb because it's already leaking fuel on one side of the shaft. Ever put brass bushings in one? Not sure if I have a steady enough hand to drill out the baseplate without a drill press. I'll probably just do a quick rebuild and see how it runs first - I'm still staring at a bare frame so I don't want to go overboard on the carb yet. ;)
