Well, I have done business with several members on the board lately so I figure I would share what I am working on.

I traded a non-running motorcycle for my 82 Toyota Mini and after a tune-up, some paint and $80 worth of 35s I ended up with this.

then I bought a 110 welder and started cutting.....first up was the bed. Why cut 12" when you can cut 36"?

took it out 2 more times and ended with this... OPPS

decide it was time to spend some money.....took out a loan to buy my Hobart 187 welder and a HF kink-o-matic. First up was the boatsides

then built the rest of my cage

Now the fun begins...I drove from Amarillo to Dever and back in 1 day to pickup a 92 FJ80 from Motoloco. I am going to be putting axles, brake system, and anything else I can fit from it into my Mini and selling the rest. The plan is full Hyrdo, 3 link front and back, MC doubler and 39.5 TSLs. I just have to get busy and get it done now.

Wow. Hardcore it is. Will that be street legal?

when I first got it I had thought about tagging it but all my plans changed when it rolled.

question for the Crusier heads. Anyone know the spring rates of a stock FJ80 set of springs? I plan on using the stock FJ80 springs I have now when I link my mini, but I am concerned about the spring rate.

stock 80 springs will be STIFF!!!!

Try Jeep TJ springs...

Need some help from the Crusier heads....
I am about to start linking my truck and have just about decided to to transfer all the stock suspension parts from the 80 to my Mini. What would make the 80 suspension work better? I first plan to tackel the rear. I am planning on using the 80 factory 5 link with stock lower links with custom uppers and a custom panhard. I could very easily lenghten the lowers and I have plenty of room under my Mini for mounting. What would be the a good place to start 6 inches longer on all the links or just leave them the stock length? I actually plan on lowering my suspension 1-2 inches from where is sits now with factory leafs.

Also how does the factory radius arm setup do offroad? I see some people getting some pretty good flex out it and I don't think I would have as many of the negative effects with it being so low. What are your thoughts about using it under my mini?

Sorry for my rambling, I am just bouncing my ideas around to see what people think.

The front and rears would be less than 200 lbf/in

One thing to considere is, those old coils maybe are tired and should have less spring rate than when they was brand new.
