Finally pulled the trigger...

Hi everyone,

After a few months of reading through the forum and keeping my eyes on the market, I finally pulled the trigger today and joined the 100 ranks.

I've got a few small items to take care of out of the gate (heater Ts, parking brake, new radio, a few dash lights out, weathertech mats, and a saggy rear wiper), but the dealer took care of new brakes, steering rack, horn, battery, and some new shoes...KO2s, much to my surprise upon pickup today. A 2000 with 167k, and $8500 for anyone keeping score.

I've definitely got the bug, and plenty of inspiration from the forum, but I think I'll take the advice of so many and just drive it for a while to see what my family needs before spending on any expedition upgrades.

If there are any folks up in New England (I'm in southern NH), give me a shout, I'd love to meet up!

Nice. I just bought a 1998 yesterday and am in the same boat. Have some small things I need to take care of then going to drive her for a little while. I figure once I need tires I'll be ready to upgrade a few things.

Thanks! I'm in Amherst (just west of Manchester). Definitely up for meeting somewhere in the VT/NH/MA area if we set something up. I'll be in the Lake George area this summer for a few days as well.

I just bought a 1999 Land Cruiser same color with the tan interior. I can't wait to drive it. I won't get it till next weekend. Mine has 202000 and is from AL so no rust and the interior is super clean.

Pretty darn clean underneath too...but it has been in the Northeast for a bit so not completely perfect. In the Navy we might have called it a "protective oxide layer"
