I still need to do the torsion bars, the rear shocks, change gear oil in the diffs and transfer case, do all the touch up paint and polish the parts I painted.... I painted the side trim but went with bedliner on the bumper covers, pulled the running boards off today, changed out all the interior lights to LED going to need a couple door lock motors... with the purchase of the truck, an engine for the truck, new (2me) 18" tires & rims, misc parts that you might as well do while you are at it... I'm at about $3200..... 305K on the truck.... 110k on the engine... goes down the road pretty nice no unusual sounds... oh yeah I had to drill a hole in the center of the wheel center caps to be able to use them and clear the hubs... :) I'm satisfied

Amazing build Brother!! Congrats!!

Just passed the 12K mark on the engine install, all is good... I have not had to do anything except one back-up light bulb and change the oil and added rainx wiper blades (I like them) It's been my everyday driver since it's build... my dually only comes out to haul the bobcat or something... everything else seems to sit in the warehouse except my Harley, My 12yo has gotten the motocross bug so I've been pulling a small trailer with our dirt bikes... and for the last 6 months the back seat has been the daily home to my German shepard (since he was 5 weeks old) who is now about 70 lbs... Fun for me :)

What brand of bedliner did you use? Did you spray it with the bumper cover on the vehicle? How is it holding out?

I removed the bumper covers... pretty easy job..... I sanded with 220 and wiped down with thinner.... and shot 2 thin coats trying to keep the texture the same... I used.... I think it's called "husky liner" ? I got it from Lowes... I have also used the one they sell at Harbor Freight with the same results... front and back they are both as good as the day I did them... I also sanded and painted the whole receiver hitch... where it looks like new... just makes the whole back of the truck look clean ...

Can you elaborate on what is involved with the bumper cover removal? I want to add some 14" LEDs and was wondering what the process is. Just a few clips or what?

Why is it on its second engine?
Busted radiator was the cause of the first engines early demise with only 305k it went to meet it's maker ... actually it's on a pallet on my shop floor...

But on the bright side I wouldn't own it had it not been for sale on ebay with a blown engine... these engines will live a very long time with great abuse but... they have to have coolant...
