Finally got me another one

1990 FJ62, 187K, one owner, rust free, leather, full history, and just got home from picking her up. Drove down with the family to Waco from Dallas and drove her home. No problems, no issues...just a rough ride

Its been almost 7 months since i last drove a cruiser and man i missed it. Of course the ride is no where near as smooth as my silverado but that is whay i love about these rigs.

The guy i got it from still had the window sticker in the glove box, owners manual, service contract, warrenty paperwork, and even the bill of sale from the dealership. This truck brand new was almost $24K and back in 1990 that's alot of bills...and 16 years later i buy it for $4000. What a deal!

First thing tomorrow...new BFG's...so i am waiting till i get those on and a good cleaning before i post some pics. So the suspense is going to have to wait.

Think that's bad in 1993 the sticker had jumped $20,000 in three years for a fully loaded FZJ80 with lockers. The main problem was you had to get the $4,500 leather package to get the $800 lockers.

That's a nice looking FJ62. I still love driveivg my 89 when I get a chance (parked at my cabin). doesn't compare to any of my other cruiser. My wife doesn't understand why I don't want to sell it.

The seats

These came from a Nissan Terrano. Looks good and feel comfortable.
Took a few nights to fit them properly but I´m happy with them.

I have no idea if leather seats were a option from the factory

Sweet. Dude, I still have the window sticker for my cuiser. 13,900 for it in 1982 and 300 for rust proofing...i wonder if i can get a re-fund for the rust proofing
