Finally, fender rails for the FJC...

Is the frame not straight behind the wheelwell there in the front? Any thoughts of an r shaped piece going from frame to the rail to keep it from pushing in towards the fender?

ASCII art but viewing from the front bumper, drivers side r shape to the exo?

I love how it blends in from 20' away!

Yup, before I overbuilt it, I wanted to give it a "real world" chance. One option is to build a support to the top of the strut tower also...

In another note, think I need to visit Henry's for a new exhaust. This one doesn't flow as well as it should, and its NOT the reason I needed to buy a cut-off tool...

I forgot all about your exhaust alteration LOL. If you look close you will note the air under the passenger rear tire, same amount of air under the driver's rear tire as well. Jerry has joined the "winch down hill club"!! He was attempting one of the new cut trails at Harlan. It was a nasty trail for sure and he got a lot farther than I would have for sure.

He also did Grapevine downhill and did an amazing job. He must have nerves of steel because the was not even the slightest sign of a crease in the driver's seat and Ruby was smiling the entire time.

We had a great time and enjoyed the hell out of wheeling with you Jerry. You have a new best friend in Anthony too, so glad you found his camera.

Alright, we need the WHOLE story - with pictures :)

Thanks, I really enjoyed the weekend despite all the challenges the off-road gods threw at us.

The only driving skill I showed off was maybe backing my way out of that one trail. Otherwise, gravity and mud were in control on Grapevine, as you saw, my input to the vehicle created the equal and opposite reaction.

The whole story or the truth...

Grapevine was a challenge for sure. I was spotting him down. I'd signal to turn passenger, he'd look passenger, turn passenger and the rig would slide 2 feet to driver. OK new line. Signal driver, he'd look and turn driver, slide 1 foot passenger. This happened the entire way down Grapevine.

We were fortunate to have Anthony with us, he is a professional photographer. His wife is due to give birth in the next couple weeks so when he gets time I am sure his photos will be available. I never pulled the camera out once.
