:D*We were asked to put a post over here as well*:D

Last year we implemented measures so that we could offer in-house fabrication & CAD design for 2014. Mission accomplished. With the resources & time to devote towards performance fabricated Cruiser items, we have the ability to fabricate whatever we want if there is a demand. Chilling thought considering the possibilities. After many requests, we have the first AOR sliders for the 80/LX mounted & done. Most people we spoke with mentioned liking the rub rail tucked up against the rocker just close enough to protect and look as if it part of the truck. We feel that was accomplished with this design. On the flipside, we did have a large inquiry for steps too. We planned ahead while making the jig and are able to make these tubes at ANY degree down or out. We can also do full top plates if desired.

It’s not efficient to offer multiple designs of one slider. So that brings up the big question. What are your thoughts on this design opposed to down.. out or steps? Whatever the design, we will do runs of 5 or more to keep production cost reasonable.

We’re looking for THREE interested parties with deposits and we will build 5 full sets of that design. For those that haven’t been by our shop or haven’t seen the quality of our craftsmanship, I have enclosed pictures of some of skill level that our products exude. We are super excited to start on domestic built bumpers, sliders and suspension components for 80’s & 100’s.

80 Slider details-
* MOUNTING PLATES ARE 1/4” LASER CUT WITH GRADE 8 HARDWARE.
OUTER RUB RAIL- 1-3/4" OD x .120 WALL DOM TUBE
BOTTOM RUB RAIL- 2"X3" X 3/16 WALL SQUARE
MOUNTING PLATES TO FRAME- 1/4” PLATE
LASER CUT CAT PROTECTION- 3/16” BROKE PLATE **WILL BE REVISED**
LASER CUT GUSSETS- 3/16” PLATE
LASER CUT DIMPLE DIE PLATES - 1/8” BROKE PLATE
HARDWARE- GRADE 8 & MILITARY GRADE STOVER NUTS

**PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CAT PROTECTION WILL BE REVISED. IT WILL BREAK HIGHER UP AND NOTCH AROUND THE CAT A LITTLE CLOSER**

An 80 slider as mentioned above and in the pictures will be $600 bare. We are currently working with a couple of our freight companies to get the best shipping cost available. Powder coat, full top plate dimple die etc can be done for an additional fee. As you can see, no expense was spared nor quality compromised. Criticism and praise welcome. Local pick up/Mudship works too.

All the best,

Brian

Brian, they look awesome!!

More Pics

Here's a couple more. Mind you this was our prototype, so production will have some refinements. Then some pics of other projects.

They look great!!

Look good and beefy, much like the ones Ken Hanna used to build. Like your cat protection on the inline 95-97 cats. Would offer up my '94 for the side by side cats if I didn't already have sliders.

Yea, they're stout. A couple of members have offered up their rigs for the other years. It's just getting the trucks over here to do so.

Wow! Those welds are a thing of beauty. Nice work!!!

Legit!

I am way in for a set for my '92. I am not too worried about steps or anything else OTHER than protection. However, if everyone else for my year(s) is specific about what they want, I'm flexible. If your truck for fitment falls through, let me know. Mine is not my DD, so I can leave it for a bit. I might need a ride home to Ontario:)

Those are well thought out and look rather beefy. I do have one concern. The bolt on skid plate may need to be welded on. That skid plate is going to want to pivot on that cross bar, putting a HUGE load on those bolts. A large impact on the front edge of that skid plate is going to bend it up into the front cat. The rocky road design is similar with no supports on either side of the front edge of that skid. That seems to be where 90% of the impacts hit and should be the most reinforced. I had to add a plate on the outer edge and weld it all in and I had to weld the back side directly to the MAF drop bracket. Ofcourse the RRO sliders used a thinner wall for the skid plate and were very poorly thought out. Yours are MUCH beefier and better engineered, but it is an area that should be looked at. I would do some heavy wheeling on those sliders and slam them a few times in that area and see what happens. I will attach a poorly modified pic of your design where you may want to consider adding metal. The down side is that it will mess up the aesthetics and your design is quite purdy.

The revised production cat protection will will be broke further back and welded in the front. The brake and weld will act as a rib for further reinforcement/rigidity of the plate. If members really think that is a concern/weak point, then we can address the plate in further detail. Can also look into the option of running 1/4"??

I may be interested in a set for my 96. Only thing I might like is to bring the hoop to a more horizontal angle. It could work as a step and keep rocks further away from the body.

We can bring the rub rail to a 45. Anyone else interested in a 45?

I'd do a 45 if it helps.

Perfect thanks Brian!
