Did a search and didn't find anything on 'Mud about fifth wheel hitches. If anyone has one what are you running? I'm looking at installing a Curt E16, it has a 16k carrying capacity and a 4k vertical load. It'll be going on an '86 F250, so yes I'll be buying the installation kit meant for Ford's. I'll only be trailing a 30' fifth wheel or the rock crawler I'm going to be building with the truck.

Don 't know if this helps but, I have the B&W Companion hitch. It is a turnover ball system and has a b26k rating. Mounted in my '15 GMC 3500 crew cab dually diesel, tows my 18,500 GVW 36 foot DRV fifth wheel. It allows me to go from a tow set up to a flat bed in my truck in about 30 minutes. Bought the base first and about a month later bought the hitch. Works great. Good luck with your decision.
