Sorry Kina but this was a damn funny moment. Pet blue jay.
No birds were hurt. Jay was found alongside Boulderdash by Willy, preserved in her perfection. I guess it is possible she got scared to death....hmmm didn’t think of that.
Everyone rest easy, we had a small service Sunday evening for blue Jay. We spoke of her colors and softness, how she rode all day with us, how she became a member of the team. We remembered the flies and seven turkey vultures circling our picnic table when we forgot her in the hot sun.
She will never be forgotten.
