There have been questions about the trails at the FG. Some info to help you pick your trail.

Trail 1: Stock

Trail 2: Stock

Trail 3: Intermediate/Stock-plus, if you are running a rig on 31's with mud tires and a locker or winch you can do this trail. It's pretty level with many 3 to 6 ft ledges to climb. There are some by-passes. If the trail guide feels you are in over your head we will suggest another trail for you.

Trail 4: Intermediate (Carnage) We reccomend 33's and a locker/winch. Very rocky and muddy. Some steep hill climbs but mostly you'll be picking your way thru trees and over boulders.

Trail 5: Intermediate/Hard Swanzey (Landslide trail) This is the hardest of the Intermediate trails because of the loose rocks on this hill. Many large boulders to climb. 33's, locker and winch.

Trail 6: Intermediate/Hard F&F Plenty of challenges with by-passes. 33's, locker and winch.

Trails 7 & 8 Hardcore, If you have to ask you shouldn't be on these trails.

If you are driving a wagon just remember that all of these trails were cut with short wheelbase
rigs in mind. It will be harder for you to weave in between the trees but with a good spotter and team
work you'll get thru.

care to make a recomendation?

I've never run any of these trails, would anyone be kind enough to recommend a run for Saturday (I bummed I can't make Friday)? As my 40 is forever apart in the garage, I'll be taking my Samurai with 30" tires, rear locker, winch, and absolutely no fear of body damage. Thanks!

Street legal?

What is Wayne's World like. similar or harder than Field and Forest?

Lane-

I'm thinking Trail 3 for my truck- what do you think?

Moderately Hard- Carnage Hill: MINIMUM 35inch tires, 33inch with Locker
Moderately Hard - Wayne's World: MINIMUM 33inch tires
Moderately Hard- Swanzey: Minimum 33inch tires
Hard - Wayne's World: MINIMUM 35inch tires, 33inch with Locker
Hard - Field & Forest: MINIMUM 35inch tires, 33inch with Locker
Extreme - Wayne s World: MINIMUM 36inch tires Lockers & Winch)

Similar from what I understand. There are hard lines, then there are the Buggy lines. I can not confirm if they are on the same trail however.

Still have AAA? : ) You can try but it's going to be tough! You have a locker yet? 33's?

Yup, and it only cost me a 12-pack. I'll probably be trailing down though just to make sure I have a way to get home.

Try Carnage.

Lane are you saying 4 is easier than 3?

Harry

I wouldn't say easier, but more wagon friendly! More trail options on trail 4. It's a larger area.

Well, the YT TRAIL TEAM went out and did a pre-run on Trails 3, 4 and 5 on sunday.

There were lots of cameras there and I'm sure that some pics will be posted soon.
This would be my recommendation for these trails.

Trail 3 and 5 are at the high end of intermediate. We ran a Mini, an 80, a FJC, a 60 and 2 40's thru
these two and everyone except one of the 40's suffered body damage. Expect it if you run these trails.

If you want Intermediate and you are worried about dents Trail 4 is your best bet.

We did have a great run!
