I've been a LR guy for a while (currently own a D90 and LR4), but I wanted something more comfortable than the D90 as my DD. I picked up a 2002 TLC earlier today, and I'm excited to add another iconic 4x4 to the garage. I've pulled a ton of good information from this forum already, and I was hoping you can answer a few questions from my first day of ownership (please refer me to existing threads if I've missed something in my search):

1. Who are the best TLC parts suppliers? I've grown accustomed to searching Rovers North, RDS, and Atlantic British for the D90, and it would be helpful to know the "big 3" for TLCs.

2. What's a good shop for TLCs on the north side of Chicago? I can do a lot of work myself, but my garage is pretty small so it would be helpful to have a trusted shop for major work.

3. What's a good cargo mat for the rear load space? I've got a german shepherd mix who's going to be riding in back a lot, and I'm trying to figure out cheap options for keeping her muddy paws off the carpet without having to remove the mat every time I want to fold down the 3rd row.

That's it for now. Thanks for your guidance!

If your talking OE parts its Sam Stewart, CDan, and Beno. All great guys for replacement parts!

He service all my rovers when I had them and always has worked on my cruisers.

Shop is located on the corner of willow and 94.

I also like my weather tech mat in the back... Keeps everything clean back there. Hose it off if something isn't.

TRDParts4u.com or toyotapartsales.com are both great sources. For the mats I would get the weather tech liners.

WeatherTech liners for sure !

At the same time, by far, the safest place for the hound, is riding in a dog crate in back. I too used to have my dog loose back there, but no more. My dog trainer convinced me how much safer our four-legged friends are in a kennel and I cannot recommend otherwise. An XL Varikennel fits in the back perfectly and your dog will most likely fit. My 75-lb lab had no trouble.

Added benefits are a cleaner truck and very easy clean up !
