Considering the thoughts of trading my 2002 BMW M5 with 79,000 miles on it. Car has "3" previous owners. One of which was a dealership, so it's really only 2 previous owners. Maintenance has been kept up extensively. Car has NEVER been tracked, driven in inclement or abused. Washed and waxed every month. Clay bared every other month. Leather conditioned every two months. Does NOT burn or use oil. That was only consistent with 2000 model year and early 2001 model years.
Full synthetics all way around. Royal purple fluids in transmission and rear differential - which were both flushed at 75,000 miles. New fuel filter (Hengst), air filters (BMW OE), cabin filters, MAF's (Bosch OE), powersteering fluid, pre-cat O2 sensors (Bosch OE), spark plugs (NGK Iridium's). All done in August/September.
What's in store this weekend - since she's hibernating in my garage for winter. (All preventative): New Fan, Fan Clutch (Behr), Thermostat (BMW OE), thermostat sensor, BMW Blue coolant, Continental belts, Brakes all the way around ($800 kit from Turner Motorsports - all Stoptech w/new stainless brake lines), Thrust Arm bushings, and Wheel bearings.
In the past 6 months I've spent $3600.00 on routine/preventative maintenance. This car has been a passion...Surprisingly straight forward and easy to work on. The only issue is ground clearance makes it difficult to shimmy under sometimes!
What I'm looking for:
While I do have an FJ62, I want another. However, there's a catch...It has to have a diesel swapped into it. Not looking for any with the 4BT in them. Those are miserably loud. I'd prefer something with a 12HT, 1HZ or 1HDT - MUST be LHD.
Please do not offer me something that does not fall within my guidelines. I'm offering an enthusiast car and expect the same. I know what my car is worth (especially color, year and mileage) and they're only going up in value:
