This is a feeler for a 1984 FJ60 with 260k on the clock
It had a new motor at 255k or so...right before I bought it.
PO also says the tranny is rebuilt. I don't have paperwork for either thing, though the engine runs strong and doesn't burn oil or leak. Compression was 165-175 across the board.
rebuilt the knuckles
new wheel bearings
new tie-rod ends
new steering damper
new paint
new interior carpet
recaro-copy front seats
rebuilt carburetor
new vacuum lines
fully smogged...and all valves and parts check out
recent valve adjustment
coupe of new heater hoses
recent alignment
All fluids checked and replaced
PO had rear axle rebuilt and new rear brake linings installed.(neither axle leaks)
Body rust is minimal, there is some around the tailgate hinges and around the front door hinges.
Frame rust is also minimal...all surface rust. PO had it coated with some kind of rhino-lining type stuff...as well as the lower portion of the body...BEFORE the paint went on.
A/C blows cold
The headlight washer reservoir has a hole in it, and the rear window washer line is leaking as well.
I had to replace the rear hatch latch because the old one was frozen up...so it has a separate key for the rear hatch.
Center console is some cheap aftermarket plastic thing, but it works.
I'd like to keep it, but I am getting a newer pickup(Tacoma) and that will make 4 cars.
Bought it a couple of months ago with the intent to deck it out.
We've put a lot of money into it getting things sorted out, but there is SOME work left to do(isn't there always?).
pics(these are pics the PO took a few months ago, but nothing has changed...no even the bazooka tail pipe):
What's it worth? I'd like to get 4000 for it.
One more pic:
