My 99 Maxima crapped out on me today and I need a little help.
Was running fine until I got about 5 miles from my sisters house, then it started missing a little. When I got there, I popped the hood and checked the usual culprits ( loose wires, bad coil packs, injectors) but all cylinders seem to be firing okay. Then it just stopped running and refused to start again. It'll crank all day long, but won't even stumble.
When I finnaly got towed home, I ran codes on it and recieved alot of codes:
1. Random/multiple cylinder misfire
2. Crankshaft positioning sensor A circuit malfunction
3. Idle control system malfunction
4. Distributor signal interupt
I know any one of these could cause the no-start condition and the rough idle, but I know that there's no way that all these parts broke at the same time.
Any help will be welcome.
Thanks in advance, Kevin
