JLM on McCarren?

NOPE! After you posted that, I checked them out on line and theyve got nothing. Thanks for the recommendation though.
Even the bolt solution that was recommended...wont work.
Damn near impossible to find a BOLT in that size and pitch in a R hand thread, let alone a L.
That'll teach me for trying to save some cash!!!!!:bang:

If this is your tie rod you would be money ahead to throw the weld in bungs away and start over. It will be much cheaper than buying a L hand tap that size. I think Sam did the welding on mine with a TRE screwed in to stop the bung from warping. Not sure though. You could ask him, he's pretty good about sharing knowledge.

Well, I got the weld inserts from front range off road...
I called them to see what they recommend, and they offered to tap them for me for the cost of shipping.
Honestly, I was hoping to just find a way to do it myself, cuz that is just the way that I AM and or find a place locally that has the taps to do it. that is a really ODD size as I have discovered.
I REALLY wish that I had known in the first place to do what Sam did and that is to thread the rod end in. That is a great idea. Additionally, I put some heat to it thinking that I SHOULD. IN thinking about it all, I really didnt NEED to do that.
This IS how you learn this stuff though. You screw it up and learn for the future. The unfortunate side effect is the cost to screwing it up. Its all part of the curve though, so (even though I DO) I cant bitch too much. This in the grand scheme is pretty small.
