Over the last couple weeks when I had some extra time, I got Camo up and running. I bought this 83 in 5/10 with the intent of using it as a parts truck. It was $350.00 and I could not pass it up. Had a new carb and fuel pump on it. It ran when I bought it, but not well.
Turns out the carb was full of dirt, I took it apart and cleaned it. No fuel filter and an old marine fuel tank lead to the dirt in the carb. I put in new plugs and a cap and rotor and changed the oil.
It is running now but needs a fuel cell. There is no return to the marine tank and the fuel pump pressure keeps blowing past the float valve and flooding it out.
We are going to use it around here as a field truck for a while. We hope to be starting fence work soon so it will come in handy. No doors makes for easy access
I have another cab with doors and fenders so I think somewhere down the road I will put them together and make a complete truck. The frame is in good shape so maybe a mild lift and a locker, replace the wood bed with a metal varierty and it can be a shop truck. Time will tell.
