Fan Bracket?

My wife called me this morning saying there was a funny noise coming from the truck 2001 LX470 and sent me the video attached here. She said the fan was wobbling and the noise would come and go in speed variation. Sounds like the fan bracket any other opinions? Timing belt was replaced at 286k we are at 315k right now.

I just pulled mine out the other day for a timing belt repair. Check the tightness of the bolts for the fan clutch assembly. It's possible something came loose during the last timing belt change. You'll have to slide out the fan cover etc. to access everything. I hope it's not the actual bracket, that will set you back a couple hundred to start.

Whatever it is don't have the motor on until it's replaced cause that blade will wreak havoc ha. If the fan bracket has never been replaced to can guarantee that bearing is shot

Good news is that I took the belt off spun all of the pulleys and it was the idler pulley making the noise zero play in the fan I think the belt was worn causing an optical allusion on the fan.

Good news! Certainly a good argument to replace the idler pulley with timing belt replacements.

Well you win some you lose some after swapping the pulley the noise left for about a day then what do you know noise came back and fan seized up. Pretty easy job if I didn't strip the nuts holding the fan clutch to the pulley and bearing once I got those cut off it all went pretty smooth. Here is a pic of the failed bearing in the bracket.

Mine went out at approx. 280k miles so note to Cruiser heads.. a pm item around 280k for peace of mind.
