I'm thinking of taking the kids on a hike Saturday. Looking for a 3-4 hour hike with some enjoyment around a lake for a bit. Any suggestions?

We've done Cheam with them a couple of year ago. Could do that and head to a lake after. Justin suggests Slesse. If I want real easy we could do Kilarney Lake on Bowen.

Looking for more ideas. Thanks.

Hikers beach up gold creek is a nice spot. 5k in, easy hike to a nice swimming hole on the creek. Park at the Gold Creek lower falls lot and Take the East Canyon trail. Have had place to myself during the week, weekends see more pressure.

Those are all great suggestions. We will have to try them.

Ended up doing the Slesse Memorial Trail to the mid point (memorial) and then went for a drive to Foley Lake.
