The FJ25's took over the 2011 Yankee Toys Fall Gathering in Hancock, New Hampshire this weekend. No carnage and the 25's led and tail gunned the stock runs. No 25 damage was caused. I just got back so I'll post up some pics later. Unfortunately, not too many action shots. I was too busy spotting the stockers through the trails but I do know that Dave Morin took video of me crossing the Swedish Mile with water up to my headlights.

Wet but good time. Didn't get many pics. I led a couple "stock" runs. Nick and I tried to read the maps (should have gotten the INavigator because the Garmin didn't have most of the trails on it) and Mike spotted us all through areas where we couldn't have gone without a great group.

I love taking this picture. Stock? Yes.

Note that by day two the nonconformist 25's were looking for volunteers to wildcat the best of the class 6 roads:

So...how did the top hold up with all the rain?

Carnage!! When it shrunk it pulled off the glued areas. Otherwise bone dry except directly over our heads where the bow seems to stretch the fabric open (I'm guessing) and the water funnels in. :crybaby:

Oh no...sorry to hear that. I know Johnny has some repenting to do for posting that "cheby limo" post, so maybe he can get that top to stay sealed.

Love the pics...looking forward to seeing more pics of the old girls having some fun

Great pictures Mike. How much did it rain? I know it rained the last two years. How common si rain in Fall Gathering? I know in previous years you had pictures of the fall colors. How were they this years. Hoping I'm going to hit it right around in a couple of weeks if anyone is interested. Last time I chacked you still didn't need a passport to get into AZ:rolleyes:

It rained hard Thursday, a peek of sun and a lot of clouds Friday, then rain the rest of the time until we left on Sunday. Typical Fall Gathering weather it seems. I think the BOD may try to move the event up a week or two so there is a chance of better weather. The foliage was just changing, still a lot of green out there.

I know the Rubicon and Moab are real busy places and in most cases have to take the dates available. Because Land Cruisers are fewer numbers than Jeeps and some of the Jeep culbs are pretty old and get the best dates. Don't know if that is the case for Fall Gathering. But two years straight of heavy rain would get old. I would hate camping more than driving in the mud. Can't tell is that a pond you camped by or huge mud hole in the road?

Pretty much spoiled here in the southwest. Around the cabin has had one of the rainiest summers in many years. Driving around on the forest service roads unless it's raining or just stoped the roads in general are dry. There are mud holes in the road that have been there all summer but in most cases ther is a bypass. Spring time is another story. With the snow melt the roads will be muddy but the forest service usually keeps them closed until late april when spring turkey starts. I do rememberback in the seventies the roads were open all year. Somebody would usually drive their monster truck and rut the roads badly. Only to dry hard that way. The width would be wider than my FJ40 and because they would be slipping so much the rut wouldn't be in a straight line is was a real pain. So closing the forest made sense.

I remember a sweet early FJ40 soft top last year. Did he not make it this year?

So we need more pictures. Bet you guys didn't know I was there. Turns out I wasn't up to the task of the liquor cabinet lock:bang: so I just headed to FG. Really surprised how many FJ40 were there. Out west everybody seems to drive a 80 series :frown:

Following G. Washington's lead I can not tell a lie. I wasn't there. I robbed these pictures from this thread https://forum.ih8mud.com/ma-nh-yankee-toys/521921-fall-gathering-pics.html

Sorry my bad:o
