Fall Color Run 10/5/14

With all the good feedback from last year I figured we'd do it again this year. Elwood Pass & Stony Pass.

Meet at Conoco(Used to be a Shell) on east side of Bayfield @ 9AM or earlier if possible. Head east through Pagosa Springs and up Elwood Pass. Theirs a nice spot for a break & snack at the top. From there head into Creede, some may grab a bite in town, some may have a tailgate lunch by the river in town. We'll play that by ear.

From there we'll head up Stony Pass along the Rio Grande Reservoir over into Silverton. Some may want to get dinner at that point, others may head home. We'll probably eat at Handlebars that evening.

I will let you know later this week if we are going to camp. If camping, we can meet at the East Fork Campground. I have HAM and CB for communications.

Maybe we should send Laura and Marianne up the paved road. I am still trying to see if Laura is up for the long drive. She is only good for a few hours before she needs to get out and bike/hike.

I was too late calling the forest service for Elwood and Stony Pass road conditions. I guess we will find out soon enough.
