I picked up a rather clean one-owner 2005 Land Cruiser with 78,000 original miles last summer, and I'm considering selling it next month.

When I say clean, I mean it. It's not 100% perfect (front bumper has some damage in one corner), but overall it runs like new and has had roughly $3,000 of baseline maintenance done to date. California-based its whole life, owned by one family then me. They traded it in to an Infiniti dealership in Oakland last summer, and I found it the day after. By the time I closed the deal, over a dozen offers were made on it.

The following maintenance has been done since I bought it (currently at 93,500 miles):

- New factory-sized tires (78,000 miles)
- New battery (O'Reilly Auto XtremeStart w/ warranty)
- Aisin timing belt, water pump & tensioner (with coolant flush using Toyota Red coolant)
- OEM brake pads & rotors (less than 1,000 miles ago)
- New windshield in June ($718 with new OEM mouldings...ouch)
- Aftermarket hood struts
- Polk 6.5" component front speakers & matching coaxials in the rear
- SL3B bluetooth controller (so you can control your music through the steering wheel)

EVERYTHING works. It gets ~ 16-17 MPG highway, drives straight and just runs perfectly. If I had to nitpick, there are tiny interior rattles here and there, and the seatbelts sometimes are slow to retract (I hear these are common issues). Other than that, it's a flawless truck that I wouldn't hesitate to drive cross-country. I'm getting a full paint correction done tomorrow to remove any swirl marks in the paint ($300 value).

What is the market for these trucks looking like on the West Coast? What I'm seeing on Craigslist in California is low-mid 20's for clean examples with over 125k miles. This has less than 100k, with all baseline maintenance done for the foreseeable future.

Looking forward to feedback before I post it in the FS section.

For reference: I traded my one-owner 92k mile new tires, fresh timing belt, new battery, 2004 LC in March for a nearly new LX570. They gave me $18k for the trade in. Sold it at action to a Land Cruiser specialist in Oklahoma who then priced it at $25,995. It lasted about a month on his lot. (I suspect due to the high price) 05 with that mileage and history should retail for nearly $20k in my opinion. I just gave $17k for a nearly perfect 62k mile 2002. I would think $18 to $21k for your rig if it is indeeds perfect with no rust and new tires. My gosh a new one is $80k now sat invoice!!!!!!

Definitely try it around 25k and see the interest level, unless you're in a huge hurry to sell. These cars are hard to find with good mileage, and yours is. Milk that all the way to the bank
