Has anyone actually tested the factory sliders? Will they actually hold up on the trail or will they rip like a pop can on the first rock they touch? The sliders were free on my truck so I took em. Since lifting my rig, I've been considering new sliders that flare out farther and double as a step. I'm not that tall and my mom really has a hard time getting in. I was thinking about the ones that Man-a-fre sells. Anyone that has them willing to give a product review? Who do you think makes the nicest sliders?

I have the Demello rock sliders and i think they are great. they stick out just far enough to use a high lift jack and also prevent door dings. very easy to install and very stout.

I have factory sliders and have used them. No dents, they seem to be quite strong and are doing the job fine.

If I were gonna replace my factory sliders, I liked the looks of the ones offered by ARB.

I have the factory sliders and have abused the hell out of them! They hold up quite well and do a great job when I get on the rocks. I have made my own sliders (designed after the Bent-up sliders) and haven't put them on yet.

I've been impressed with how strong they are an how well they hold up to impacts.
I can hook the high lift jack on them and jack up the whole side of the truck.
It would be nice if they stuck out a little further so you could use them as a step. For know they will do, but I do see myself buying a set of all pro sliders some time in the future.

I like mine BECAUSE they don't stick out too much. I've whacked mine many times on rocks and very little damage. The shields for the x-fer case and oil pan are another story...thick aluminium foil would probably hold up better

Ummm yeah they definitely WORK:
[I've got narly scrapes on both sides, but they just creased, no open wounds:)]
