I’m constantly looking for reasons to buy and assemble kit for any possible scenario, and now I’m targeting my FJ80. Ideally the kit is purposefully and co-located in an area you will most likely need it when the time arises. I’m hoping to learn from you other ideas to add a piece of kit in an area on your rig that makes sense (at least to you).
I added a mini tool kit to the battery box that contains:

I added a mini tool kit to the battery box that contains:
- 1/2 -9/16 combo wrench (specifically for my battery terminals)
- Fusible Link
- Toyota pliers
- 1/4 Titanium driver and assortment of bits
- Brush
- Emergency flashlight with magnetic base for under-hood work
- Section of vacuum hose and splices
- Assortment of metric nut drivers (both 8 & 10MM to replace fusible link)
- 1/4 ratcheting wrench to aid in above.
- Drain plug washers (don’t ask why I know to have spares at all times)
- Tourniquet
- Flashlight with work like & red light option
- Pen
- Lighter
- Leatherman Signal
