Disabled Explorers to be Guest on Expo Ham Radio Net Sept 7th
We have always said that amatuer radio is a superior communication choice for overlanding, but many folks don't often have a chance to practice with repeaters. Well now is a good time to learn a few new skills or work on ones you haven't used lately. We will be using the IRLP and the Western Reflector 9251 at 7pm MST.
Our topic will be the recent Continental Divide Expedition, the role of Disabled Explorers in the overlanding community and how folks can help if they want. I will be happy to take questions or offer information on our upcoming events.

If you would like to sit in on this net but don't have a ham radio post up and we can see if anyone is near you. If you get together they act as the operator so you can talk on their radio. I would be glad to have anyone over.
If you are new to IRLP or ham radio in general you can go to our site for more details and step by step process click here

Great info on the net and thanks for the link to another great radio site - for those who haven't followed the link, it is a site with a TON of radio/antenna discussion and great suggestions.

I'll be reading quite a bit more when I have time.

Yeah, he's doing it all over mud.
