The trip went well, except for the stock tundra that crossed woolum before we did (kind of a i have a snorkel for this? moment) and the all out bushwack from hell (which means new pinstripe's everywhere!) The landcruiser belongs to tim.korn99 as he is known on here.

Some pictures, in no specific order...

Violet drove while I spotted/hike the majority of the last day... (which explains the new dents/most of the deep scratches  )

Sweet!

I'd love to explore the Ozarks more, but I can barely find the time to do anything wheeling related here lately.

We explore the Ouachita NF close to Little Rock on some occasions, but the Ozark seems to have more creek crossings and unimproved trails.

Around Lake Ouachita and Mena are great areas. MIke

Mike, check out central overland forum.

I'm looking at the calendar and a new year is coming up in a few days. With that is a new chance at a wheeling season. Late winter / spring could be a great time for an overland / Ouachita trip. Anybody have any interest? Could be a very cool trip.

I'd love to do some riding through the Ouachita as a group trip where the only fees are gasoline and food :)

Ozark does appear to have more "enjoyable" trails but I know Ive not seen 80% of the Ouachita yet.

I am always up to some trail running. Schedule is usually the problem. We used to go to Texas in late december but they moved that event so we might could put something together then.

One of those pics looks like the overview of "the mother" at the Big Piney? If so, I used to blast clay pidgeons off that thing in the late 80's!

i think your right...the map shows em going past the over look, up treat road, left at indian creek, then straight on into and past heltons farm.. the other end of it looks like they stopped at the big swimming hole/camp spot on the bayou!!. we are out in this area every weekend in our 60 from Russellville to jasper or so.. i love exploring this area

Great country, maybe some of the wildest, cleanest in the U.S. Mike

I've kilt deer and turkeys all over that place and can tell ya it's remote arky style fo sho. Not many turkeys these days tho.

I've seen many a turkey in the Gene Rush WMA near Woolum, AR.

As for around the pictured areas, mainly deer. I've seen bobcats and the like as well.
