I made some stuffed chicken breast this weekend, I've made the same dish before and it was pretty good. We were having fresh Chard from the garden as a side. So I decided to substitute the celery in the stuffing with chard stalks since they were right there on the counter.

Bad juju that. The odd thing is I ask my better half before I did it and she thought it would be a good idea too. Usually she tells me before I do something stupid like that.

One of those "this will work" moments. Thanks, you saved me from a future blunder. LOL!

I love bread pudding with rum sauce.

The first time I tried to make it, I got greedy and doubled the recipe but only slightly increased the dish size. I ended up wiht bread sitting on top of scrambled eggs. Not good eats.

My first time using Chorizo that wasn't from the butcher's I used to work for, I didn't know that it was:
1: Crappy
and
2: in a plastic casing.

Long story short, buy chorizo that's made local and comes in an all-natural hog casing!

I tried making Venison Sauerbraten quite a few years ago. The recipe just sounded interesting. It took something like 3 days to prepare and had some exotic ingredients. In the end, after all of the effort and patience, it was not edible at all. We had to throw it out.

Sauerbraten is a fickle mistress.
