Hey guys,

Here are 3 sweet websites. I was looking around for gear on the web and came across these sites. My 100 question series is this, why doesn't anyone mod a 100 series for expedition type work. Also, Expedition Exchange has very cool stuff but if you want to purchase something they sell, I suggest you do a google search on that same item. You will find the items for much less else where.

FWIW

The Expedition Exchange websight is run by a jackass who used to post on DiscoWeb all the time. I used to own a Disco, and my sister still does (she moved to AK, so I don't work on it anymore), so I would peruse the board over there from time to time.

Anyway, the guy has a severe e-personality disorder dealing with some superiority complex. I would not buy anything from him. Discoweb is down now, but you can ask the Rover board on Pirate what they think of him.

Contrarily, I have seen many testimonials of him giving excellent service within his business. The way he carried himself on Discoweb, however, precludes any supposed good business practices and leads me to warn anyone away from dealing with him.

I was wondering where all of those hits to my site were coming from :-)

It is nice to see some of you interesting in using the UZJ100 (and other TLC's) in environments and over distances they were designed for. I have owned an FJ60 and FJ40 (Doron is caring for the 40 now), and they proved to be wonderful machines.

The Land Rovers get most of the press for expedition travel (and sure have the look), but it is the Toyota's that actually get you home. I Know, I have owned both.... and I am driving a Toyota now.

If you really want to explore, make sure to check out 4wdtrips.net or check the schedule on my site (trips are free of charge).

JUNK: Yes, Christo's LX is set up for expedition.......3 YEARS AFTER DORON'S AND MINE (and a couple others...Drexx...you there?). :D

Seriously, Doron is right. Not too many people can take long breaks off from work in order to go on the long trips. I wish many times that I could go with Scott (Expeditions West) and Doron. I just can't take the time off like that.
Sure would be fun though on the 100. I'd never take our 80 on a long trip like that. After having a 100 the 80's a dog and I hate driving it longer distances (though it sure is awesome in the NASTY spots...luv it for that!).

True, but do you have a welder and shower :D Everyone knows that you need those to qualify for expedition wheeling :bounce:

I don't usually take showers. I certainly don't like getting burned either. :D

You have passed my 100 up with your LX. Doron needs to add a welder (well...maybe not. Doron knows how to drive. KIDDING.....you opened yourself up with that TT article). Hey, what type of trailer do you take? Doron might have ya beat there? His is cool!

I get tired of looking for expedition type stuff and all I ever come up with is Land Rover stuff. I think we need to start documenting our trips better. Or ven better yet...get Toyota in on the whole thing.

Scott...

Nice to see that you made you way over here.
