Hi folks,

Has anyone seen or maybe has an exocage on their 100 series land cruiser?

I'm thinking of putting one on my rig . . . . . .

Never seen one on a 100 but plenty of 80s out there with some version of an exo-cage that you can use for inspiration. One caveat: they add width to already full-figured girls, which may be an issue on tight trails.

Agree RE: width.
However, my sliders and rear bumper (coastal offroad) also increased width and I've found that the added steel allows me to feel out the trail using the armor. So I'm thinking the exo will do the same!

What's going to be your proof of concept ? Or are you going to weld up a bunch of tubing and pray it doesn't collapse into the vehicle in a hard contact?

Yeah more or less. Will also follow best practices and do some structural calculations.

not worth it

I planned on doing a cage on mine in 2020. I bought a tubing bender and thought I'd get it done while I wasn't doing anything else. The price of DOM quadurpled and I never built it. The only use my tubing bender has had in 5 years is from letting someone else borrow it.
