I have an exhaust leak on the passenger side of my GX, Im almost sure its coming from the manifold. I checked pricing online and its $477 for a new manifold/cat. Are there any shops in the valley that can repair these vs replacing? I called about 10 exhaust shops and they all said they only work on everything after the manifold.
From what I have seen online they seem to develop a small crack around the seems.
Im not sure if I should just purchase one new and try to swap it myself or take it to a shop for repair? Last time I tried to do a repair like this I ended up breaking two bolts off in the block. Since this is my new DD Im not super eager attempt one of these repairs again.
