Moot point as it is not coming to U.S., but it looks to be a pretty great rig. There were cries of fowl when the 100 series came out, and then some gripes when the 200 came out. Both of which have shown to be great overall rigs. I am sure the 300 will be great as well. The only part that would have me really nervous would be the 3.3L TT diesel. There is a lot going on there and displacement is almost always a friend of longevity. It is a Toyota though, and if you hear in the video, that engine has been in development for 13 years.

I thought we were expecting the LX version stateside tho? There’s even a LX overland spec proto?
Hopefully it’ll keep the tail gate to serve the grey poupon, and to serve as a changing table for the great poop-on. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve used the hundy’s tail gate as a changing table. It’s the best.

Split tailgate is gone from the Cruiser. I can't imagine they'd keep it for the LX. Definitely a shame. It's a great feature.
