Care to help determine what somone might pay for my 80?

Just curious.:grinpimp:

It is a 97, non-locked but if sold now would come with a pair of elocked axles with only 120k, and some of the wiring.

166K.

White with tan leather. Leather is dry but not bad.
Could use a good cleaning right now, but cleans up nice(interior)

Lots of dents on the exterior. Rocker panels are hammered. (I was going to cut out and replace with square tube.)
Been on its side twice. Once on either side.

ARB front bumper with 2nd generation Smittybuilt XRC8(fast) installed.

New (nice) PIAA headlight bulbs.

Windshield has a medium sized crack.

Front axle: open with 5.29's needs bearings and a new R&P (warranty from 4wp) Also needs a knuckle. Some of the studs broke, poured out the gear oil and wasted the front diff in the process. I was doing 85 on I-26 coming back from Charleston.
Can be test driven in 2wd. Dont forget includes good shape (complete) e-locked axle.

Rear axle: professionaly welded diff with 5.29s. New bearings at 157k when gears installed. Has a broken shaft but included in sale is a mostly complete(only missing a brake part or two) Non-locked rear axle AND the Complete E-locked one also.

Suspension: OME j's in the front with extended lenght Procomp ES9000 shocks(lifetime warranty from 4wp).
Mediums in the rear with same shocks. Sits level.
Needs caster correction to handle better, but its not too bad.
I was gonna (still might) lengthen the front arms when I swap the axle over.
Suspension has about 20k on it.

Tires: 11R16 Michelin XZL's (38.7") on stock FZJ80 aluminum wheels. Installed with 98% tread at about 160K. I love these tires!

Obviously the fenders have been trimmed to accomidate the tires. (not a ton, actually) They top out in the rear wheelwell a bit when really, really flexed up, but some slightly extended bumpstops would fix that easily.

Prob add more later, still a bit hungover.

Will get more pics later. It is a little more dented since those(not much)

And while not officially for sale yet, I will consider trades for a big 4wd truck that goes clackety-clack and blows black smoke.

Just sayin...

Not really too sure Kyle. On one hand it has a small suspension lift, huge tires, and some elocked axles (not installed)

But on the others you have every panel dented and would have to swap the gears from one axle to the elocked ones...... hmmm I really have no clue maybe 4K....... maybe others will post up.

Needing a better tow rig for the 62??

I can't comment on the value, but would suggest comparing with Craigslist (+mods) and IH8Mud listings for the area.

On a side note, if you would be interested in any parting out, I would be interested in the ARB front bumper depending on condition. I would imagine the locked axles and modifications (lift, wheels, bumper, winch) would be worth more if separated from the truck.

I vote you put the chopped up 62 body on it and wheel the heck out of it with the lift.

Thats about what I thought, maybe a little more with the axles.

Yes I do need a tow rig/parts running truck at least of some sort.

The dam axles are still in the back of my Honda, its on the bumpstops! :hillbilly:

You are correct. I bet I would get alot more parted out.

I am parting a 60 right now, and I swear I wont part another vehicle for a loong time. My back just wont let me get stuff done like I want to anymore. I aggravated it big time when we lifted the axles into my Honda last week, thats one reason why they are still in there, and I am thinking of selling :frown: it for a tow rig for my 62 (which I am paying someone to finish now)

I am guessing you would sell the axles on their own (they are maybe 1000ish in worth?)

That puts you at the 3-4k for the truck as is, worth it to the right folks but must IH8mudders want the e-lockers (and to not do axle swaps)

Honestly if you sell off the various parts (swapping stock for the lift, bumpers, etc) my guess is you drop to 1-2000 or so in value for a "stock" cruiser with dents + harder sale. So the question is could you get 2-3k for those mods and my guess is no. (Thus parting out is prob a bad idea)

TRADING is where you might get some interesting action.. you both have a vehicle that you want to exchange for something else, etc.

For example, I would have been interested in trading that 96 Dodge, Ex-cab, 4x4, 5.9L v8 in your rig. Both are worth maybe 3-4k street value but worth "more" in our own minds.

And if that 5.9 had its cylinders in a row (not a V) and made a clakety clack noise, I would have been all over it!

Looks like my thoughts are confirmed, not worth it to sell.

Who wants to help with an axle swap? I keep my fridge stocked and I am a good cook!

Prob not. Have more family stuff to go to.

Spent all this weekend with the in-laws.

At least they like to drink.

Soon though.

Trying to get the 60 gone first.

Almost done, just gotta pull the dash and axles.

Josh, come get your stuff! :flipoff2:

i swear its this week! what day works best?

Anyone going to have a set of 80 ABS knuckles for sale after all these axle swaps? Al, Jason, Kyle? :D

Sorry. :frown:

Steering arm was welded back to the knuckle afterwards, good for a paperweight once I take it off.
