Evidence of Transmission Work?

Take a look at this photo. Is that orange sealant factory, or evidence of transmission maintenance?

Looks factory to me. But that doesn't mean they didn't use the Toyota RTV....even though it costs $23 a tube...

Not sure. Mine has some too, not just around the pan. I look at it as a good thing since we are known to have transmissions with issues. Maybe somebody replaced/rebuilt ours years ago and now we won't have to worry about them crapping out! At least that's what I like to think LOL!

That was what I was thinking too.

I'd be interested to know if a newer model (from 2003 up) has this same sealant squeezing out?
