I'll be at Evans on Saturday with a buddy from work. Not trying to plan anything super formal here, if you want to show up feel free. We'll be there I'm guessing a little before noon, and stay until we break something probably. Maroon 80, black wheels, de-flared and lined.

Been trying to line up some wheeling buddies for Saturday.

Still planning to go? Perfect starting time for me because I need to haul some junk for recycling in the morning.

Still planning on it, I'll PM you my number so we can try to link up at Evans. I'm probably just meeting my buddy at his house first, might bring one other rig with me as well.

I'm planning on taking it relatively easy, because I use my 80 all winter for snowboarding and DD. Not looking to crumple any doors/interfere with DD functionality, but other than that IDGAF. Although I've been wheeling quite a few times, this will be my first time with an LC of any generation.

EDIT:

shoot me a text with your number too, just in case. My # is in your inbox. My name is Casey, btw... I think I forgot to mention that lol.

I did end up making it up there, but not until about 5pm with my buddy as copilot. We had a hard time getting his motor back in, and then when we were putting the clutch linkage back on, found out the new clutch master cylinder he got was defective.

I was really looking forward to seeing your 40 on the trails, never actually checked one out before and I've always liked them a lot. You must have gone through there before the rain? When I hit the trails they were super slick, and I think that's the only reason why I got through some of the places I did. I was able to basically steer in place and shift my whole rig like a tank, made it through lower 311, 196, 520 and horseshoe ridge with ZERO body damage... I also almost went off a cliff at one point, though.

Hopefully we can put something like this together again sometime, maybe a little more organized and with more participation. :)

Those were almost the exact same trails I took (didn't run 196), plus I did 102 and 198. I was going to run the lower half of 520 before heading home, but one of my tires wasn't holding air so I decided to call it a day. 102 nearly ate my soft top. The bows got bent so I have to fix them.
