I was going to zip off the stripes and as far as I can tell only the metallic layer would come off. It's a dark blue underneath, I guess I'm going to leave it on there and not mess with it.
It just seems weird to me. But really I've never done this with a ten year old car either.
After the wheel and wash and clay you can't even tell there's a stripe there. I can't even guess how thin that layer is.
it actually looks decent. Like a sign of old age. I'm a emblem and stripe hater.
