I'm 1-3 weeks away from pulling the engine etc from this cruiser. More details to come but wanted to give a heads up to anyone interested. Engine had 223K miles on it and I've got documented service records for the past 9 years and some before that. I also have the instrument cluster and ecu if you want to keep them all together. I'll post pictures this weekend but PM me if you want close up shots of anything specific. I'll be dropping the axles a week or two after that. Here is a pic of the donor. You can see more in the part out section listing the 1996 White Land Cruiser in Birmingham, AL

Any specific details on the maintenance of the engine? Has the HG been done? Front main seals, Valve seals, anything like that?

I have the last nine years pretty well documented. I will get back to you on specifics.

I can verify the front main seal was done at 204K miles in June 2015. But that is the only one I can say for sure. I just purchased the rig last October but I know the two previous owners. They passed on a thick folder of receipts and the one that owned it longest gave me a print out of a spreadsheet documenting most of his expenses related to the vehicle. From 5/09-12/16 he spent over $22K. This includes regular maintenance, repairs (from normal wear) and a couple of upgrades. Most of the entries are oil changes, brakes, and minor issues like replacing bulbs. There is an entry from 9/16 for $1600 that could be the HG but I don't have that receipt. Judging from the place he payed, I would guess it was engine related because the receipts I do have from this business are all for engine service. I've tried calling the place to find out but they were not very helpful. In addition to all the oil change receipts I have from these guys I have the carfax showing it was under a service contract starting in 1998 at 35K miles with the first owner. It w as sold with around 80K miles in 12/00. Not much information for the second owner. Third owner picked it up in 2004 with 110k miles. A few service records show up from them until the guy above bought it in 2009 with approximately 146K miles. I had it inspected by my mechanic before I purchased it and his notes were about fault code p0401 (EGR Insufficient), brake light on due to low brake fluid, coolant good to -40 degrees, overall mechanically sound. He suggested new brake rotors and pads, , ac and alt belt and front sway bar bushings. Send me a PM with your email if you are interested in seeing any of the documentation. Let me know if you have any other questions.
