Engine Swap? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone done a straight engine swap on a 91? I believe my poor ol; 3fe died this week. I would lke to put a new heart in her. I have thought about the v-8 convesion bI don't think I can swing the $$$ right now. I have found a used 3FE and Trans in TX for $900 seams like a steal to me. If I can't handle it, I will pass it to the pro's. But again I don't have "Mucho Dinero" What do you think a Mechanic would charge anyway?

Take a tranny and engine out and make it run could be a couple of days for the person that knows how to do it. Any where from 12-18 hrs depending on skill level and If the donor is working well. I know that is a big difference. but just a estimate. later robbie
