engine stalling in reverse A440f Code 25
O.k. so I hid this question in my other most recent post. Perhaps its best to start a seperate one. After installing new R&ps (4.88), I went for a test drive on the fourdyce trail. To my dismay my engine would idle rough and stall when I would put it in reverse in low range. My solution was to put it in high when every I needed to back up or turn around, as high would just make it idle rough (low) and not stall. I guess I should clarify that this is in an 88 FJ62 with the auto A440f. Tranny fluid checks out o.k. not perfect but not bad and it never overheated. This transmission is getting up there in age 214k miles but never had any problem before and why does it appear after change in axle gears and only in reverse. I'm going to drain/ refill and clean the filter this week but am I looking at bigger problems?
