engine ID

I just bought annother 40 and the engine has me puzzled. It is a 2F and it has boltholes for PS pump so this tells me it is 79 or later engine but it doesn't have holes an air rail. Engine ID #514149. Help

Thanks Poser. Do you know what other head would fit.

I wondered if the truck might have come acroll the border somewhere. I would like to find out what year it was mfg. I believe 79s are only like 300 000 and this is 514 149. Might be out of an FJ60

According to this, the block would appear to have been installed in something between 1980 and 1982.



There are cylinder heads for the non-USA market that do not have EGR ports. One of them could have been installed on that engine.
