Hi all...

I am chasing some help on an electrical issue Im having on my FJ73. The engine fuse keeps poping and Im scratching my head trying to find the issue...

Its a FJ73 3F Auto... The problem just appeared on start up one morning. It has been fine prior to that. I have done some trouble shooting with no joy atm... Things I have checked are;

I pulled ALL fuses out with only the engine fuse in... turn the key to ACC, the volt gauge reads 12.7 volts and all is good.
Turn to ON, volts drop to 8.5 volts and the normal dash lights come on... all last's about 5 seconds and pop... engine fuse blows.
I have changed ignition barrel and loom still the same.
I have unplugged all the systems connected to the out side of the engine fuse and I have pulled back the loom to chase a wire that gets VERY HOT but cant find the issue. Im not sure if Im chasing a short or a defective item.
I put a jumper direct from the battery to the out side of the engine fuse (with a fuse) and still pop.
The car runs after the engine fuse pops so the ignition side is not effected.

Im running out of options so any help would be great.

Thanks
