Anyone hauling their 40 series in an enclosed trailer? I've been tossing around the idea of getting a cab-over camper to put in the truck and look to get an enclosed trailer to haul my 40 or other toys when we go camping. TIA.

I have. What do you want to know? I don't think there is any trick to it other than finding one with the right door height opening and making sure your tow pig has the capacity for the load. I believe my door opening height is 84" and it just barely fit.

A friend's Sami punched it's front tires thru the floor on his old toy-hauler during one trip to Moab. No rot, just chip board intended to have bikes & quads sitting on it, not a pocket crawler. Ask about what the floor's sq-ft load rating is.

I have a toy hauler now, I'm sure they aren't rated to haul heavier loads. Especially to have 2k-3k lbs behind the axles. I'd like to find a small, enclosed trailer rated to haul the 40. Id be curious of the garage door or ramp to load it is strong enough as well. I have a 3/4 ton pickup that I would put the camper on and tow the trailer, so I think I would need to get a trailer on the smaller size.

The Toy hauler’s definitely not designed to have that kind of weight in it. I wouldnt consider a truck bed camper on anything other than a 1ton dually truck, let alone a truck camper and a 10k trailer behind me.
Look for “race” trailers. They are designed for the weigh of a vehicle, although i think you’ll have a hard time finding one with a box much shorter than 20’. 18’ is the shortest i would consider to allow a little bit of useful storage space in the front. Front side door placement is something to consider. On the trailer pictured above i moved the side door forward 3’ because in its original position, the opening was always blocked by the front tire when loaded.
